We’re looking for three new volunteer trustees to join our team of activists, campaigners and researchers who are building the charity. You’ll help Article 11 Trust make vital decisions about fundraising and grant giving, provide advice and guidance on new initiatives and support the running of the charity.
Check out the trustee role description for more details.
It’s been five years of steady growth at the Article 11 Trust – we’ve funded know your protest rights trainings across the UK, cutting edge research on the Policing of Protests and have continued to support grassroots groups with much-needed charitable funding on protest rights issues. At a time where the threats to protest rights keep rising, it’s vital that Article 11 Trust continues its charitable mission to defend and advance the rights to freedom of assembly and association.
Trustees will ideally be familiar with police monitoring, grassroots activism and community work but we also encourage applications from those with transferrable or specialist skills but who lack direct experience of this field. In addition to this we are specifically looking for people with an understanding of charity law & accounting & financial reporting oversight.
Trustees should expect to spend between 2 – 4 hours a month on Article 11 trust business, with 10 monthly board meetings per year all of which are online apart from 3 hybrid online/in person meetings based in London.
