The Article 11 Trust is looking for a new voluntary Trustee to join our board as a Treasurer. We are looking for someone who is committed to our objectives, with some experience of financial management.
They will become a full member of our Board of Trustees, participating in our key strategic decision making, as well as ensuring we are fulfilling our financial responsibilities. We estimate this role, including attending meetings, will take 2-6 hours a month.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide advice on finances and support the steering group in keeping track of funds.
- To appoint and work with external financial/accounting advisers to ensure our accounts are up-to-date and thorough.
- To deliver to the Steering Group appropriate budgetary and financial information on our activities.
- To oversee payments are made on appropriately.
- To recommend to Trustees appropriate accounting procedures, controls and policies, and deliver these.
- To deliver budgets and annual accounts, and ensure that accounts are prepared and disclosed in the form required by funders and relevant statutory bodies.
- To act as a Trustee of the Article 11 Trust.
